Scuples: Macbeth

1. Your car will soon need a new transmission. Do you sell it without informing the buyer? A few months ago I would say yes to that question. But, after reforming my mind and actions I wouldn’t sell my car without letting the person know of the transmission’s problem. I wouldn’t want to put someone in a bad situation like that. I would rather fix the problem myself than to ruin someone else’s life.
2. You are drafted to fight in a war you consider unjust. Do you refuse and risk prison? I personally would opt-out out of any war, due to the fact that I am neutral on the subject of war. I would rather go to prison, than to go into war to fight for something that’s unjust or untrue. I believe that war will never solve man’s problems and that only God’s Government will.
3. A friend wants to copy and swap some expensive computer software with you. You know it’s illegal. Do you swap? Even knowing that it’s illegal I would probably still swap the computer software with my friend. I wouldn’t be happy with my decision and most likely regret it. The reason for doing this we be due to the economy and how ridiculously expensive everything is. But overall I wouldn’t be proud of my choices.
4. You dislike all the political parties. Do you vote? I believe that no government ruled by man will bring true peace and happiness. I only believe that God’s government will truly be able to bring justice on this earth. So No, I do not vote nor do I favor any political parties.
5. A vagrant asks you for $1.00. You suspect he/she will spend it on alcohol. Do you give it anyway? I truly don’t know what I would do in that situation. I would most likely say no because I wouldn’t want to be funding there addiction to alcohol. But then again they could truly need the money for food to get by. But most likely I wouldn’t give the dollar.
6. You are shaken up on an auto accident. A lawyer could get you a large settlement if you exaggerate the extent of your injuries. Do you do so? No. I would tell the truth about what happened and hope that I could still get money from the law firm. Lying never gets you anywhere, even if you are never caught on your lie, I think that the guilt is far worse than what would happen if you don’t lie. Plus if you try to be honest in everything you do, you will most likely never get into to serious trouble.
7. You have been attending classes all year. An acquaintance, who rarely shows up, asks to photocopy our notes, do you consent? First I would let them know that by copying my notes they truly won’t learn anything. If they still wanted them I would probably let them jot down a few things, but then ask for them back. Plus, most of the time notes aren’t going to be the only things you needed to remember for the test.
8. Your significant other has had an affair. You have no idea how long it’s been going on. Do you leave him/her? If I found out my girl was cheating on me then yes I would leave her. I most likely wouldn’t accept her apology. Even if she was truly sorry, I still don’t think that I’d ever be able to trust her. Trust is one of the biggest components in dating to me.
9. You and a friend have liked the same guy/girl forever. Your friend confides in you that she/he has finally gotten up the nerve to ask this person out. Two days later that person asks you out on a date. Do you say yes or no? Do you tell your friend? I would first tell her the situation about my friend. Then see how she handles it. Hopefully she’ll understand and not want to go out anymore, but if not then I would tell her that I couldn’t do that to my best friend. Unless, he told me that I could and that he didn’t care if we went out. But overall I would have to tell her no.
10. It’s your first chance to vote in a presidential election, and it is a very close contest. When checking that you are registered to vote, you realize that you are registered twice. Do you vote more than once? Since I don’t vote and remain neutral in politics I wouldn’t vote at all. But if I did vote, then I would probably not vote twice. I wouldn’t vote twice because I had already put my own interest in who I voted for. I think being fair should be one of the main concerns in voting.
